“The Best Teacher of a Higher Educational Institution” – 2025

The Committee of Higher and Postgraduate Education announces the competition “The Best Teacher of a Higher Educational Institution” (hereinafter referred to as the Competition).

“The Rule on holding the competition “The Best Teacher of a Higher Educational Institution” (hereinafter referred to as the Rule) was approved by order of the Acting Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No.124 dated March 16, 2015. The title is not awarded to the same person more than once over the next ten years.

To participate in the competition, candidates from among the full-time teachers of higher and (or) postgraduate educational organizations submit their documents through the Information System of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The first stage of the Competition will begin on November 3, 2025 and will last until November 14, 2025.

To participate in the first stage of the Competition, candidates from among full-time teachers of higher educational institutions submit the following documents through the information system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (universitycontest2025.iac.kz):

1. in accordance with Appendix 1 to the Rules, a sample application for participation in the competition for the title “The Best Teacher of a Higher Educational Institution”;
2. information in accordance with qualitative and quantitative indicators, according to Appendix 2 to the Rules (data for the last 5 years — 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 years, with the exception of points where specific dates are indicated);
3. annual work schedule for the 2025-2026 academic year, according to Appendix 3 to the Rules;
4. personnel record sheet;
5. a copy of an identity card.

Reception of appeals for the first stage of the Competition will take place from November 17 to 19.

The second stage of the Competition will begin on December 1, 2025 and will last until December 12, 2025.

In addition, instructions for using the information system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be published on the website universitycontest2025.iac.kz.
