Intercultural Event “Foundation Friendship Day” for International Students: A Summer Picnic Outdoors

On June 17, 2026, an engaging cultural event—a summer picnic—was organized for the international students of the Foundation Center for Pre-University Training at Turan University.

The event brought together international students from Zambia, Turkey, and the United States. The outdoor gathering was aimed at developing intercultural communication skills, strengthening friendships, and providing opportunities for active language practice.

The entertainment program attracted great interest among the participants. Students enthusiastically took part in various team games, which helped create a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. A distinctive feature of the picnic was that throughout the event the participants communicated with one another exclusively in Russian. This enabled them not only to reinforce the material they had learned in an informal setting but also to successfully overcome language barriers.

The event was lively, enjoyable, and filled with positive emotions. The summer picnic left the international students with warm and vivid memories, becoming an important step in improving their language skills and adapting to a new socio-cultural and academic environment.
