The second annual school chess tournament, “TURAN CHESS CUP – 2026,” held at Turan University, has concluded. The competition brought together the strongest young chess players, demonstrating a high level of preparation, strategic thinking, and competitive spirit.
Based on the results of all rounds, the prize winners were distributed as follows:
1st place – Sultanbek Beibars, candidate master of sports, graduate of JOO High School Mega. The tournament winner received a rector’s grant for four years of free education.
2nd place – Bolys Tolegen, NIS Almaty student (11th grade), candidate master of sports. He was awarded a rector’s grant for two years of free education.
3rd place – Daulet Nurbolatov, graduate of G. Musrepov Gymnasium No. 86, candidate master of sports. He received a rector’s grant for one year of free education.
4th place – Sultan Delovarov, graduate of Gymnasium No. 34, candidate master of sports. He was awarded a grant with a 50% discount for the first year of study.
A special award was given to the best female participant, Kadyr Madina, a graduate of the “Bilim Innovatsiya” Lyceum. She received a rector’s grant for two years of free tuition, confirming the high level of women’s chess.
The TURAN CHESS CUP 2026 tournament has become an important platform for supporting talented youth, combining sports and education. The organizers noted the high level of interest in the competition and expressed confidence that it will continue to grow in the future, opening up new opportunities for gifted schoolchildren.
