The graduate of Turan University became the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Magzum Maratovich Mirzagaliev, a graduate of Turan University with a degree in Economics, was appointed Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Magzum Mirzagaliev was born on November 7, 1978. Graduated from Turan University in 2000.

Over the years, he held executive positions in the following organizations:

  • 2001-2004 – Drilling Fluid Engineer MIDrillingFluids International (Schlumberger) in Tengiz and Western Siberia;
  • 2004-2007 – business development manager, production manager – head of the Aktau branch of MIDrillingFluids International;
  • 2007-2010 – General Director of TenizService LLP of the National Company KazMunayGas Joint Stock Company;
  • 2010-2012 – Managing Director of the National Company KazMunayGas Joint Stock Company;
  • 2012-2013 – Deputy Chairman of the Board for Innovative Development and Service Projects of the National Company KazMunayGas Joint Stock Company;
  • 2013-2014 – Vice Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • 2014-2019 – Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Since June 2019, he has been the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan.
