Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the UN Mission in Kazakhstan and Turan University

On March 29.2022 Turan University hosted the UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Kazakhstan , Michaela Friberg-Storey and the representative of the UN Department of Global Communications, Vlastimil Samek in Kazakhstan. The goal of visiting is to open «Center for Cooperation with International Organizations» at «Turan» University. Moreover, there was the signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the representative office of United Nations (UN) in Kazakhstan and «Turan» University.

Furthermore, in the framework of meeting the both sides have discussed a further perspective mutual work and projects of the Centre. Turan University staffs and students also attended the Ceremony of the UN Centre.

The UN Coordinator in Kazakhstan, Michaela Friberg-Storey positively evaluated the opening of the UN Centre at Turan University and mentioned that universities and other educational institutions play significant role in raising public awareness in the context of the relationship of UN and Kazakhstan over the 30 years of cooperation, partnership and trust.
