International Strategic Session “Youth science as a strategic national priority”

On April 20, 2022, the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation held an international strategic session “Youth Science as a strategic national priority” on the territory of Turan University.

 

The moderator of the international strategic session was Deputy Chairman of the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, Candidate of Medical Sciences – Zhaparov Sukhrab Abaydullayevich.

 

The strategic session was also attended by the Head of the Political Research Department of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD, Chairman of the Science Council at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation Toktarov Ermek Baurzhanovich, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Institute of Fundamental Problems of Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Biological Sciences Demin Dmitry Viktorovich, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Candidate of Biological Sciences Mamadyusufova Menu Gulomaidarovna, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Vardanyan Gevorg Grachevich, First Vice-Rector of the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor, member of the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation Yesirkepov Marlene Makhmudovich, Vice-Rector for Science and Strategic Development of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasavi, PhD. N., Member of the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, Aynash Yessimbekovna Oshibayeva, Head of the Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Associate. Professor, PhD, Chairman of SMU, member of the Council for Science at the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation Alikhanov Kuantar Daulenovich and others.

 

Youth science is a direction that ensures the improvement, coordination and support of the research work of young scientists, is engaged in creating conditions for scientific and technical creativity of young people based on domestic and foreign experience and the results of scientific and methodological developments in order to improve the research of young scientists, and also seeks to expand the mass and increase the effectiveness of the participation of young scientists in scientific activity.

 

In the context of the international strategic session, the following issues were considered:

 

  • Forms of support and formation of young scientists in the CIS countries.
  • Grant funding opportunities, postdoctoral studies.
  • Realization of the intellectual potential of young scientists.
  • Collaboration and international projects.
  • Science to society: the role of scientists in building the future.

Following the results of the strategic session, recommendations were developed on the further vector of development of youth science in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
