XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad in “Robotics”

Turan University invites you to participate in the II stage of the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad (hereinafter – RSO) among students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of “Robotics,” which will be held on April 25, 2026.

 

The main goals and objectives of the RSO are: to stimulate students’ educational, cognitive, and research activities; to reveal their professional and personal potential, self-awareness, and creative abilities; to create conditions for self-realization and self-affirmation; to foster students’ civic responsibility; to identify and support the most talented and gifted students; and to develop an active professional attitude toward improving the education system.

 

Students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of “Robotics” are eligible to participate in the II stage of the RSO.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on the results of the I stage selection, each higher education institution forms one team consisting of 3 students. Each team must be accompanied by a supervisor.

The RSO is held in two rounds: Round I – theoretical, Round II – practical.

 

Round I (theoretical) is conducted in the form of individual testing for each participant in the discipline “ARDUINO Programming” (individual tests with team scoring).
Round II is conducted in the form of a team assessment through a practical case on robot implementation.

 

The working languages of the RSO are Kazakh and Russian.

Applications for participation must be submitted via the registration form (link) by April 15, 2026 (inclusive), along with the following required documents:

  1. A cover letter on the official letterhead of the university, signed by the rector and certified with a seal;
  2. Application form in accordance with Appendix 1;
  3. Extract from the minutes of the Academic Council meeting on the results of the I stage of the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad;
  4. Electronic student ID cards of the participants.

The original application and identity documents (ID card and electronic student ID cards of participants) must be provided upon arrival.

All expenses related to participation in the Olympiad (travel, accommodation, meals) are covered by the sending party. Team members must have an ID card and an electronic student ID.
