Askar Kuanyshevich Umarov, a graduate of Turan University, was appointed Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Askar Kuanyshevich was born on June 30, 1976 in Almaty. Graduated from Turan University. He completed an internship in Israel and Poland. He has extensive experience in the media and politics, with a total work experience of more than 25 years. Earlier, he held senior positions, including the following organizations:

 

  1. President of the Public Fund “KazBusinessMedia” (09.2014-04.2017);
  2. General Director of  INA”Kazinform” (04.2017-12.2020);
  3. Chairman of the Board of JSC INA Kazinform (01.2020-08.2021);
  4. Vice Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (08.2021-11.01.2022);⠀
