On May 18, an open lesson on the topic “Discovering the World through the Russian Language” was held in Group A1.
International students from Turkey and South Africa prepared informative and engaging presentations dedicated to the culture of their countries and Kazakhstan. The participants spoke about national traditions, cultural features, and interesting facts. All presentations and discussions were conducted in Russian, which became valuable practice for developing the students’ communicative skills.
During the lesson, the participants also took part in a thematic quiz and quest, where they demonstrated their knowledge and creativity. At the end of the activities, the students received memorable gifts.
All stages of the lesson were conducted entirely in Russian, providing an excellent opportunity to practice speaking skills. It was especially pleasant to observe how confidently, fluently, and correctly the students already speak Russian.
Together with their teacher, Beken Aisulu Abilbekkyzy, the students also prepared a video about the learning process and student life at Turan University.
Throughout the academic year, the students demonstrated strong interest in learning the Russian language and achieved good results through perseverance and consistent effort.
At the end of the open lesson, the participants were awarded certificates confirming their A2 level of proficiency in the Russian language.
