Faculty of Digital Technologies and Arts
Faculty of Digital Technologies and Arts of the University of Turan has been training technical and creative personnel for the field of cinema and television, as well as related industries since 1998.
The educational activities of the faculty include two areas of preparation – technical and creative.
The goal of the faculty is to train highly qualified technical and creative specialists who meet the needs of our time and which our country really needs.
At the faculty created and developed specialized offices – television studios, pavilions and laboratories for training personnel on creative, technical specialties. The specificity of the modernized design of the semiconductor pavilions, the video editing studio, the cinema, the laboratory, conveys the modern work.
Professor, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the Tarlan Prize, gold medalist of the International Film Festival (Tokyo), winner of the FIPRESCI International Film Festival (Barcelona), winner of the Grand Prix of the Taormina Festival (Italy), winner of the Tiger Award of the International Film Festival (Rotterdam).
Professor, Awarded with the jubilee medal “20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the honorary medal named after D.P.Bagayev “For contribution to the development of photography”, more than a hundred awards at international photo exhibitions, among them – 8 gold medals of the International Federation of Photographic Art FIAP. He is an Academician of the Petrovsk Academy of Sciences and Arts, an honorary member of the International Federation of Photographic Art FIAP, an honorary member of the European Photographic Association ISF, President of the Medeo photo club.

Professor, “Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2011, he is a full member of the International Academy of Informatization (IAIN), since 2008, a member of the Working Group on IT personnel of the Kazakhstan Association of IT Companies and a member of the Association for Assistance to the Development of the Alatau IT City Information Technology Park of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

His film “Horns” (director and cameraman M.Zh. Associate Professor, Awarded with the badge “Excellence in the field of Culture”. Vasiliev M.I. shot over 40 films. During the period of work, he released six streams of students. Students of his workshop L. Kovardakova received the first prize at the republican competition “My Motherland is Kazakhstan” in 2007; N. Khodzhinova received the third prize in 2008 and 2010; Tursunbaev A. received a special prize for the film “The Man Who Wanted to Overtake the Tram” in 2010. In 2012, S. On October 26, 2016, a participant of the Concert of Laureates of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – of the Leader of the Nation of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Abay State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, where the author’s work “Sanamak” was performed for the first time with the Symphony Orchestra of Akim of Almaty under the direction of Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexander Belyakov. Since 2005 he has been a soloist of the ethno-group “Roksonaki”

The Faculty of Digital Technologies and Art has a modern film and photo pavilion, which has all the latest special equipment necessary for the film production process. This is a new, significant stage in improving the learning conditions for students, because practical classes help students to consolidate theoretical knowledge and gain professional skills in working with film and photo equipment.
