Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan with technical and vocational, post-secondary or higher education are accepted for full-time educational programs with reduced terms of study. For such students, in addition to the usual offline classes, i.e. with the presence of the student in the university auditorium, it is possible to study from 20 to 50% of the disciplines of the curriculum of the educational program in a remote format (in online form).
Distance learning is learning carried out with the interaction of a teacher and students at a distance, including using information and communication technologies and telecommunication means. With such an organization of the educational process, the educational program is mainly based on independent learning of the student, and training sessions are conducted through synchronous (video lesson in real time) and asynchronous (video recording of the lesson) learning formats. At the same time, the university provides consulting support to the student (adviser-curator) and strict monitoring (automated information system of the university) for compliance with discipline by the student in the process of mastering the educational program, attendance, logging, monitoring the progress of studying materials and timely completion of tasks, assessment through its digital footprint (data on students are automatically entered into the database university integrated into the Unified Platform of Higher Education (EHEA) of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
According to the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 20, 2015 No. 137 (as amended by the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07.08.2023 No. 397) “On approval of the requirements for educational organizations to provide distance learning and rules for organizing the educational process for distance learning and in the form of online training for educational programs of higher and (or) postgraduate education”, for the training of personnel at universities, it is envisaged to transfer to distance learning no more than 50% of the total number of disciplines for the entire period of study, and in the direction of personnel training 6B042-Law, it is provided for the transfer to distance learning of no more than 20% of the total number of disciplines for the entire period of study.
